Thought process..!!

I happened to meet my college mate cum colleague after several months. She has been travelling in south India- Hyderabad- Bangalore and Chennai frequently and now has settled down in Chennai. We started discussing about various things during our lunch and tea breaks. We understood several things we had in common, just went back to our college days and wondered how our life has changed!
Taking on more responsibilities, we did realize that we have matured enough to handle big things in life. We both had faced several common scenarios where in we were facing jealousy as a major cause that hinders good relationships. The approach she had for it was really great!
We generally fear people who are jealous upon us. We fear that they may harm us. But she said they could do nothing harmful! She said they are already inside the PIT OF JEALOUSY. THEY CANNOT DIG A PIT FOR YOUR FAILURE. We generally forget that by trying to stop others' growth we stop our growth first. In the time trying to stop other's growth, if we start concentrating on our growth we will grow faster! Once we are out of the pit, and think welfare of others we will lead a happy life. Also is the attitude of helping. Helping your friend expecting that he might help you some other day is not a healthy relationship. Loving unconditionally, helping with no expectations are true symbols of love..! I bet, even unknown people will help you in need for your selfless attitude! You will always be peaceful.

SOAR BEYOND YOUR FEARS!-”Why walk when you can fly”

SOAR BEYOND YOUR FEARS!-”Why walk when you can fly”
Hi all,
A nice thought. Sharing it to get more audience. Introspect the thought below ...

SOAR BEYOND YOUR FEARS !!!
Once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons from Arabia. They were peregrine falcons, the most beautiful birds he had ever seen. He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to be trained.
Months passed and one day the head falconer informed the king that though one of the falcons was flying majestically, soaring high in the sky, the other bird had not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived.
The king summoned healers and sorcerers from all the land to tend to the falcon, but no one could make the bird fly. He presented the task to the member of his court, but the next day, the king saw through the palace window that the bird had still not moved from its perch. Having tried everything else, the king thought to himself, “May be I need someone more familiar with the countryside to understand the nature of this problem.” So he cried out to his court, “Go and get a farmer.”
In the morning, the king was thrilled to see the falcon soaring high above the palace gardens. He said to his court, “Bring me the doer of this miracle.”
The court quickly located the farmer, who came and stood before the king. The king asked him, “How did you make the falcon fly?”
With his head bowed, the farmer said to the king, ” It was very easy, your highness. I simply cut the branch where the bird was sitting.”
We are all made to fly — to realize our incredible potential as human beings. But instead of doing that, we sit on our branches, clinging to the things that are familiar to us. The possibilities are endless, but for most of us, they remain undiscovered. We conform to the familiar, the comfortable, the mundane. So for the most part, our lives are mediocre instead of exciting, thrilling and fulfilling.
So let us learn to destroy the branch of fear we cling to and free ourselves to the glory of flight.

Great message .. FEAR - standing for “False Evidence Appearing Real” really holds us back from achieving our potential.
Whatever we are prepared to do when the situation forces us to do, how to get ourselves to do it voluntarily is the difference between being magnificient versus mediocore !

Digesting lessons #1 (You can Win)

I am progressing through reading & digesting the concepts of the book You Can Win.
The first lesson being "Attitude", is the basic foundation of success.

Read through the famous story of the balloon seller. The lesson that external features does not matter & the actual talent within us counts did make an impact to me.  Just introspected like whether this concept had entered my mind. Thinking of my past, everyone during my childhood discouraged me, I was depressed, when everyone said, I cant do it, something within me said, I have the talent & I did it. This talent which burst out of me, slowly built my personality. I changed my appearances besides my poverty. I learnt dressing neatly with what I had. I really b rought about a change in the environment where I lived. I realised that everything was within me & I can do anything to bring about change. The first success at my grade 8, which caused jealousy in all my friends & their parents was my first success which I cherish each day.

We will forget things when we read them, whereas we never forget the lessons that our experience taught us. Its is better to introspect our activities on a daily basis and bring about the change we wish in our subsequent activities to lead a successful life.

Reduce your Needs. Increase your Responsibilities

Reduce your Needs. Increase your Responsibilities

The title above was one of  the messages shared by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji during the Yagnya @ Chennai recently. My mom & me watched the yagna Live from home in sankara TV last sunday evening. The event was wonderful with the singing of about 5700 artists with their accompanyments. All the artists were honoured. I was delighted to see the awards given to people performing social service & good to the humanity.

Ji's message was so clear. He spoke with so much of love & down to earth nature. He asked every one to do social service. He emphasised the importance of Yoga & medidtaion, He also wanted to see India as Corruption free nation. Many peopel from politics also made their presence. The Bhajan song from the golden voice of Chitra ji kept ringing in my heart all through the night. The most important point he mentioned really made me think.
" Reduce your needs. Increase your responsisbilities". A food for thought!
We generally do the vice versa. Reducing the needs will make us lead a simple life. Increased responsibility will make us work hard and bring success to us. If everyone feels responsible for all our activities, how can corruption weed grow amongst us...??
